"Was very helpful! Actually my wife had taken our dog for a walk ... so we assumed that had set her back. Yesterday we enforced total rest ... and she has improved significantly. Will follow the advise given of total rest and continue the medication (though it`s hell on us ... part Border Collie ... bored and vocally expresses her displeasure a lot :-). Thanks for the assistance!" -- B.H.

Hi there, I would like some veterinary advice. My dog had an allergic reaction last weekend (not sure what to), started with facial hives then went to full body hives and vomiting. We went to the vet and she received two injections, epinephrine and cortisone. My vet prescribed vetalog tablets in case she had another reaction but said to wait a certain number of days before giving her the tablets because the epi shot was still in her system? Of course it`s Sat now and my vet`s office is closed and she`s having another reaction, the hives on her face are starting to appear. Can I give her a vetalog tablet? She received the shots last Mon morning. |
